The safety of our guests is of the utmost importance to the Maria Island Walk.
We want you all to know we are taking the current health crisis very seriously and will always put your health and safety at the forefront of our operations.
In addition to our existing safety measures, we have implemented a few new protocols to help you feel at ease when you travel with us:

Government Advice
As a COVID safe business, we are continuously looking after the well being of our staff and guests by actively staying on top of government health advice. Stay informed and please refer to www.coronavirus.tas.gov.au for all up to date information.

Rescheduling Advice
Book with confidence with us. If COVID-19 stops you from being able to get to the Maria Island Walk then we are happy to reschedule your travel for you or hold it in credit to use in the future season, subject to availability.

Close Contacts
If you are considered a close contact, we ask you to consider rescheduling your travel to ensure the safety of all guests and staff. If you choose to continue with your travel plans you may be asked to take a Rapid Antigen Test prior to travel and will need to follow the current government health advice for close contacts.

Casual Rapid Antigen Testing
If a guest displays symptoms while on the Maria Island Walk, they may be asked to take a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) for the safety of all guests and staff.

**In the event of a positive RAT, the guest will be required to isolate in their room with their close contact/s for the remainder of their visit or until suitable transfers can be arranged to return home.

Cleaning
We have increased our cleaning protocols in all areas of our businesses and will ensure all frequently used areas are regularly cleaned and sanitized as per the local health department guidelines.

Hygiene
Sanitizer will be available in all areas and masks are strongly encouraged in settings where you cannot physically distance.

If state or federal requirements for COVID PPE change, all staff and guests will adhere to their local rules and restrictions.

Join us on Maria Island for four days that will last a lifetime.
